There are so many reasons why I photograph weddings on film and Super 8. I love the look of the tonality and colours, the inherent nostalgia of a format that brings a timeless quality so suited to wedding photos, but most of all that it has taught me to focus on quality over quantity, to engage with the subjects in front of my lens without the distraction of a screen on the back of the camera, and to carefully consider the moment I choose to release the shutter for every picture I take.

I’m not about trying to make your wedding look bigger or better than it really is, or to capture a skewed version of life for the sake of a social media profile.
I’m all about the real moments, the little bits in between the chaos, the unguarded emotions that only come out when you are with the people to whom you’re closest.
Those are the images that are truly important, not just now but in 20 years time, so when you look back on these photos in the years to come you’ll think to yourself ‘that is exactly how I remember it’.
